This is just a quick note. I have set up a new forum that will replace my old forum, The Pattern Search and Craft Discussions Forum" on Bravenet at http://pub44.bravenet.com/forum/3703436600

The new forum is on the crochetandknitting.com domain at http://crochetandknitting.com/cgi-bin/iB_cgi/ikonboard.cgi

I have not announced it on the old forum as of yet. I would like for some of you, when you have the time, to visit the new forum and register and try it out. I want to work out all the bugs before I re-direct any links to it.

I did not know that my webhost also provided me with a forum, which is included in my monthly hosting fees, until a year ago. Gee I have had this website for many years and didn't even realize that until then. I should have looked around in my Control Panel more. Instead, I have been paying for the Bravenet forum all along. Oh well....

Anyway, the old forum is paid for until October, but I thought I would start working on moving it to the new forum on my own domain now. I have some tweaking to do to get the fonts and colors right, but I'm sure I will get it all worked out.

I hope you stop by. This forum is more user friendly. You don't have to post your email address for replies by email. Which was not a good idea anyway, as the s*pam robots can pick it up and then start sending you junk.

The new forum has "Private Messaging (PM) so you can send PM's to others on the forum and you will get an email to let you know you have received a PM. All you do then is login at the forum and go to your inbox to get the message. Sure is a lot better than posting your email address on a forum. As well, you can easily put links and images in your posts without knowing HTML. You can even preview your post before posting and you can edit it after if you make a mistake.
