Hello Everyone, Karen in Texas sent me a great tip for my Crocheted Baby Socks at http://crochetandknitting.com/babysock.htm Karen was having a difficult time finding a baby slipper pattern that she liked and was easy to make. She wanted to make them for her new grandchild to be born in April.
Here is Karen's comments: By now I was so insecure I almost didn’t even bother, but said, “One more time!!” I couldn’t believe it when I finished the top of the sock, and it went so smoothly. Now for that heel. I held my breath and plunged in, and in no time at all I had the heel finished without having to look for that other site you said to use if I couldn’t figure it out. It was SOOOO EASY. Now I have four pair made and ABSOLUTELY love that pattern. I am so grateful that you submitted it. It is well written, the directions are clear and concise. If I turn down the top of the sock, it looks just like a bootie. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS PATTERN." I never thought of that before! She is right, the baby socks can be used as a baby bootie pattern by turning the cuff. Thank you for your wonderful comments and great tip, Karen.
