Hello Everyone,

We are in the middle of a big snowstorm here in eastern Canada! I won't complain though as this winter has been unusually mild with not much snow. So I welcome the snow. It does look so pretty.

Heather sent in this great tip for my Crocheted Mittens/ Fingerless Gloves pattern at
http://crochetandknitting.com/mitglov2.htm
and Men's version at
http://crochetandknitting.com/mittglov.htm

"hey sue, i LOVE your site. thank you for taking the time to make such a great site. i've been working on the women's CROCHETED MITTENS / FINGERLESS GLOVES and this morning i had a totally brilliant idea! i have been trying to come up with a way to have the top of the mitten attach to the cuff with the most stylish and functional attachment.

i love the idea of a big wooden button. so what hit me this morning was if you take the mitten top and flip it inside out and attach a little loop chain to the inside of the mitten top - you can fasten back the top of the mitten easily and then when you want the mitten top to cover your fingers you can just flip it back inside out and the loop is hidden and the mitten is ready to top your fingers. does that make sense?

i couldn't bare the idea of having the little loop sticking out the end of the mitten- just didn't seem right. so i came up with this idea a few minutes ago! and was so excited because i have been trying to figure out how to get around that for awhile now. so anyways. i just thought it would be helpful for other people to know too! eek! yeah! ok again thanks for an awesome site." sincerely, heather h

Thank you, Heather! That was a great tip. You could also use any type of button and crochet a cover with the same yarn.
