MATERIALS
4 ply worsted weight yarn - use double strand
(I used Red Heart Supersaver Light Periwinkle
175 gram skein with lots left over) I used a small amount
of black for the soles.
Hook - 5.00mm or H hook
Size: Will fit a 9 1/2 to 10 1/2 inch foot.
The stitch count in brackets are for small and
large. Small is one inch smaller and Large is
one inch larger. I made a pair in large for my husband
and they fit him perfectly. Note: I have not made these
slippers in the small. I based this
size on my calculations using the gauge.
Gauge: 3 sc = 1 inch, 3 rows = 1 inch.
|
Abbreviations used:
|
st - stitch
ch - chain
|
ss - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
|
|
To make 2 sc tog: Insert hook in first stitch, yarn over and pull up a
loop, insert into second stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through
all three loops on hook.
|
Double your yarn by working with 2 strands. I rolled the yarn into
two balls and worked from both.
