Crocheted Gloves Pattern

MATERIALS

2 - 50g balls of 4 ply yarn - color of your choice. Hook - 4.50 mm See Charts for conversions.

st - stitch ch - chain ss - slip stitch

sc - single crochet beg - beginning tog - together

NOTE: This Glove Pattern is designed to fit both the left and right hands.

CUFF - All Stitches on Cuff are through the back loops only of stitches. Chain 12 to begin. ROW 1 - 1 sc in 3rd ch from hook, 1 sc in next 9 chs, ch 1, turn. (ch 1 does not count in st count throughout the pattern.) ROW 2 - 1 sc in next 10 sc, ch 1, turn. ROWS 3 to 25 - Same as Row 2. ROW 26 - (Joining Row) ss to join to corresponding chs in Row 1 (be sure to go through the back loops of sts on Row 25), turn the cuff inside out - this will be the right side of your work.
(If you prefer you can sew the cuff together.)

CONTINUE FOR THE REST OF THE GLOVE: - All Stitches for the rest of the pattern are through Both loops of stitch. RND 1 - ch 1, 1 sc in end of each row of ribbing. (26 sc) RND 2 - 1 sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in next 1 sc, 1 sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in next 1 sc, 1 sc in next 3 sc, ss to join, ch 1, turn.(29 sc) RND 3 - 1 sc in each 29 sc, ss to join, ch 1, turn. RNDS 4 to 10 - Same as RND 3. RND 11 - 1 sc in next 15 sc, ch 5, skip next 5 sc (thumb opening), 1 sc in next 9 sc, ss to join, ch 1, turn. RND 12 - 1 sc in next 9 sc, 1 sc in next 5 chs, 1 sc in next 15 sc, ss to join, ch 1, turn. RNDS 13 to 17 - Same as RND 3.

Now You Will Begin Crocheting The Fingers.

BABY FINGER RND 1 - 1 sc in next 7 sc, ch 2, ss to join to the first sc of this RND, ch 1, turn. RND 2 - 1 sc in each of the 2 chs of previous RND, 1 sc in next 7 sc, ss to join, ch 1, turn. RND 3 - 1 sc in each 9 sc, ss to join, ch 1, turn. RNDS 4 to 8 - Same as RND 3. (For the fingers and thumb, you can Add more RNDS or Subtract RNDS to fit if needed.) RND 9 - 1 sc in the first sc, 2 sc tog 4 times, ss to join. Cut yarn leaving a 8 to 10 inch tail. With darning needle, weave through sts on last RND, pull tight to secure closing. Sew the tail end so it won't pull out. Fasten off.

RING FINGER Fasten yarn and begin in the next st after the 7th sc of baby finger RND 1. RND 1 - Ch 1 and 1 sc in the first st, 1 sc in the next 2 sc, ch 2, 1 sc in the third st from base of baby finger on the other side of glove, 1 sc in the next 2 sc, make 2 sc along the base of the baby finger, ss to join to the beg sc of this RND, ch 1, turn. RND 2 - 1 sc in the next 5 sc, 1 sc in each of the next 2 chs, 1 sc in the next 3 sc, ss to join, ch 1, turn. RND 3 - 1 sc in each of the 10 sc, ss to join, ch 1, turn. RNDS 4 to 11 - Same as RND 3. RND 12 - 2 sc tog 5 times, ss to join. Cut yarn leaving a 8 to 10 inch tail. With darning needle, weave through sts on last RND, pull tight to secure closing. Sew the tail end so it won't pull out. Fasten off.

MIDDLE FINGER Begin in the next st after the first 3 sc of Ring Finger RND 1. RND 1 - Ch 1 and 1 sc in the first st, 1 sc in the next 3 sc, ch 2, 1 sc in the fourth sc from base of Ring Finger on other side of glove, 1 sc in next 3 sc, make 2 sc along base of Ring Finger, ss to join to beg sc of this RND, ch 1, turn. RND 2 - 1 sc in next 6 sc, 1 sc in each of the 2 chs, 1 sc in next 4 sc, ss to join, ch 1, turn. RND 3 - 1 sc in each of the 12 sc, ss to join, ch 1, turn. RNDS 4 to 12 - Same as RND 3. RND 13 - 1 sc in next 1 sc, 2 sc tog, repeat from * to * 3 more times, ss to join, ch 1, turn. RND 14 - 2 sc tog 4 times, ss to join. Cut yarn leaving a 8 to 10 inch tail. With darning needle, weave through sts on last RND, pull tight to secure closing. Sew the tail end so it won't pull out. Fasten off.

INDEX FINGER Begin in the next sc after the frist 4 sc of the Middle Finger RND 1. RND 1 - Ch 1 and 1 sc in first st, 1 sc in the next 7 sc, make 2 sc along base of Middle Finger, ss to join, ch 1, turn. RND 2 - 1 sc in each of the 10 sc, ss to join, ch 1, turn. RNDS 3 to 11 - Same as RND 2. RND 12 - 2 sc tog 5 times, ss to join. Cut yarn leaving a 8 to 10 inch tail. With darning needle, weave through sts on last RND, pull tight to secure closing. Sew the tail end so it won't pull out. Fasten off.

THUMB Join yarn at the beg of thumb opening. RND 1 - ch 1 and 1 sc in the first st, 1 sc in next 4 sc, place 7 sc evenly along the back of thumb opening, ss to join to first sc, ch 1, turn. RND 2 - 1 sc in each of the 12 sc, ss to join, ch 1, turn. RNDS 3 to 8 - Same as RND 2. RND 9 - 1 sc in next 1 sc, 2 sc tog, repeat from * to * 3 more times, ss to join, ch 1, turn. RND 10 - 2 sc tog 4 times, ss to join. Cut yarn leaving a 8 to 10 inch tail. With darning needle, weave through sts on last RND, pull tight to secure closing. Sew the tail end so it won't pull out. Fasten off.
