Very Easy Bubbly Slippers

Updated December 7th, 2021

These slippers are very easy. Great for beginners and very fast to make for the experienced crocheter. Fast, easy slippers to make for gifts. If you can make the single crochet and treble crochet stitches, you can make these slippers! Straightforward crocheting but does not have a boring look. With the combination of the sc and tr, it makes a nice design.

Size: Women's size 7. These fit me, my foot is 9.5 inches long.

Gauge: 3.5 sts = 1 inch 4 rows = 1 inch

MATERIALS Yarn: Worsted weight yarn. I used yarn left over from Redheart Supersaver, so I'm not sure how much I used. Hook: 6 mm

Abbreviations used: ch - chain sc - single crochet tr - treble crochet

Ch 32 (I left a long tail end to use for sewing up the back of slipper.)

Row 1 - 1 sc in second ch from hook, 1 sc in next 30 chs, ch 1, turn. (31 sc) (This is the right side)

Row 2 - 1 sc, 1 tr (repeat to last st) 1 sc in last stitch, ch 1, turn. (31 sts) I changed colors after this row, and alternated colors every 2 rows.

Row 3 - 1 sc in each st to end of row, ch 1, turn. (31 sts)

Row 4 - 1 sc, 1 tr (repeat to last st) 1 sc in last stitch, ch 1, turn. (31 sts) I changed colors after this row, and alternated colors every 2 rows.

Rows 5 to 30 - Repeat rows 3 and 4.

Cut yarn leaving a long tail to sew up toe end and seam across top of foot. On the wrong side with a darning needle weave the yarn throw the end of the rows and pull tight to close toe end, secure. Sew across top for about 4 1/2 inches. Sew up back seam.
