This is a very old pattern that was given to me by sister many years ago. A few years ago someone
had posted on my forum looking for it. I remembered that I had it and scanned it for her and sent it to
her by email. So today when I came across it in my craft bag I decided to put it online before it became
unreadable with age. I have typed up the instructions below in case you can’t read it from the scanned
copy.
COZY NECK WARMER
MATERIALS: 2 balls Beehive Astra (50 g). Two 5 mm Milward knitting needles or whichever needles
you require to produce the tension given below. 3 buttons.

TENSION WITH THE SPECIFIED YARN.
Cast on 38 sts.
1st row: *K14, P14. (Y fwd. K2tog) 4 times. Y fwd. K1
2nd row: K25. Turn.
3rd row: P14, 2, (Y fwd. 2tog) 4 times. Y fwd. K1
4th row: K26. Turn
5th row: P14. K3. (Y fwd. K2tog) 4 times. Y fwd. K1
6th row: Knit to end of row. (41 sts on needle).
7th row: K32. (Y fwd. K2tog) 4 times. Y fwd. K1.
8th row: 12. P16. Turn.
9th row: K19. (Y fwd. K2tog) 4 times. Y fwd. K1.
10th row: K13. P16. Turn.
11th row: Knit.
12th row: Cast off 5 sts. K9. P15. K14. *
These 12 rows complete one point. Repeat from * to * until desired size (approx. 22 points
for average adult size). Cast off.
FINISHING: Sew buttons evenly spaced at neck opening.
Make 3 loos as follows: - Cast on 1st and work 1 1/4 ins (3 cms) in stocking st for chain.
Fasten off. Sew in position to correspond to buttons.
